How it works

Choose your file

Pick a supported file from your device or drop it into the tool.

Set the result

Choose the output, quality, or size options that matter for this job.

Convert and download

Your browser processes the file locally and prepares a fresh download.

Before you start

The file picker accepts: .epub, .html, .md, .txt. The contents and encoding of the file must also be supported; an extension alone does not guarantee compatibility.

The download uses the .tcr extension. Keep the source until you have checked the result.

What to expect

Check the table of contents, chapter breaks, and characters in the reading app you plan to use. A format change does not remove copy protection or repair missing text.

Limits to keep in mind

DRM-protected books are never decrypted or converted.

TCR is a plain-text Psion format; it carries no images, styling or chapter marks.

Help

Frequently asked questions

Is the file uploaded?＋

File contents are processed on your device. The browser downloads the tools it needs, but does not upload your file to LocalConvert for conversion.

What if processing does not finish?＋

Read the error shown by the tool. An unsupported format needs a different input; running out of memory may require a smaller file or a more capable device. Keep the tab open while the job runs.
