Before you start
The file picker accepts: .txt, text/plain. The contents and encoding of the file must also be supported; an extension alone does not guarantee compatibility.
02
What to expect
Put the password on the first line of a plain text file. This tool produces a bcrypt password hash, not a file checksum. For Apache htpasswd output, the file name becomes the user name. Store both the input and output carefully.

Limits to keep in mind
Put the password on the first line of a plain text file; the file name becomes the user name.
The line uses bcrypt, the scheme Apache writes with htpasswd -B. Insecure legacy schemes are not offered.
